The Best Cycling Podcasts
October 2025 - Bernina Pass, St. Moritz, Switzerland

Whether I am commuting or passing time on the bike, I always enjoy listening to cycling inspired Podcasts, and of course, I have a few favorites I would like to share with you. The majority of the Podcasts shared in this Article have been created by ex-Pros, who share their experiences from the Pro Peloton, and a few are independent Podcasts discussing the latest bikes and cycling tech. All of the Podcasts shared below can be accessed on Spotify. Without further ado, my favorite Cycling Podcasts are the following:

  1. Watts Occurring by Geraint Thomas and Luke Rowe

Watts Occurring is by far my favorite Podcast. It is a weekly Podcast done by former Tour de France winner, Geraint Thomas, and his Team Sky teammate, Luke Rowe. The discussion topics in Watts Occurring focus primarily on the results of the week's biggest World Tour Races and the tactics used in those races. Geraint and Luke also regularly host Podcasts with former teammates and current Pros to discuss the current state of racing in the World Tour, as well as their experiences from those races.

I enjoy the Watts Occurring Podcast because not only does it deep-dive into cycling and racing discussion, but Geraint and Luke are genuinely funny people. There is no shortage of jokes and British banter in the Watts Occurring Podcast.

  1. The Nero Show by Chris Miller and Jesse Coyle

The Nero Show is hands down the best Cycling Podcast to stay up-to-date on the latest bike tech. The Nero Show is an independent Podcast based out of Australia that discusses the latest bike releases, aero-testing, equipment, etc. I enjoy listening to the Nero Show because they give an honest review of the latest bikes and tech. Chris and Jesse always give an honest review of how each bike rides, and they also discuss how each bike ultimately compares to the top competition, regardless of the paid promotion from the big bike brands.

The Nero Show has also gotten so popular in the last 2 years that the biggest bike manufacturers regularly send Chris and Jesse their bikes to test and review. At the end of each Podcast, they also do a "Dog" or "Fast" Bike Review where listeners are able to send their complete bikes to the Nero Show to determine if it is a fast bike or a dog of a bike.

  1. Ulle & Rick by Jan Ullrich and Rick Zabel

Ulle & Rick is my favorite Cycling Podcast in German. The Podcast is hosted by arguably the best German cyclist ever, Jan Ullrich, and former Pro-cyclist, Rick Zabel. Ulle & Rick also publish a weekly Podcast in German discussing the latest World Tour Race Results and race tactics. They also regularly Interview current German Pro-cyclists to discuss their current training and racing plans. (Ex: Florian Lipowitz, Georg Steinhauser, Nils Politt, etc)

Both Ulle and Rick are also both incredibly funny, and compliment each-other well in the Podcast. I enjoy regularly listening to Ulle & Rick to hear a different perspective on racing, as well as practice my German!

  1. Life in the Peloton by Mitch Docker

Life in the Peloton is a Podcast supported by MAAP Cycling Clothing and presented by ex-Pro, Mitch Docker. The Podcast is an open discussion amongst cyclists in the World Tour touching on all topics regarding cycling. I enjoy listening to Life in the Peloton because they often discuss each of their journeys to becoming Pro and what life is actually like as a Pro cyclist. The Podcast offers a nice change of pace from the standard race reporting and tactics.
